Quote of the Day:
“The first ingredient to being wrong is to claim that you are right. Geniuses have a knack for raising new questions. Hence by the public they are either admired for their creativity or, even more commonly so, detested for disturbing the daily peace of mind.”

Experimenting with Reality: What is Right and What is Wrong?
Laboratory Test # 1 of probably many...

Hybridesign Creative Chemistry 101:
The result =The Arcalumis Gallery.
In theory all mothers believe that their children are amazing talents, am I right? For example, the composition in the image was design by my son when he 3. It was at about age 3, that he began producing installation art. He called his work "art" and requested that we photograph his works prior to demolition. Each work is carefully considered and in my estimation of reality, true art.
So as an experiment I took my sons art and put it in an Internet Gallery. The question is can I make an honest art show of it? Can others experience it as art? If I were to ask a dead French philosopher by the name of Jean Baudrillard, he might roll in his grave. The fact I have used his essays on Simulacra and Simulation to accomplish this experiment may endanger the existence of the French fry as we know it. I even fear this project may suggest an insult so great that the word French may spontaneously combust from language. We may be left with menus that read F-fries with F-toast made from F-bread...
If you are willing to take this risk, please use the link below to the Archalumis Gallery. Start with reading the information at the "welcome page". The website navigation menu is on the left hand side of the screen. Then proceed to the "current exhibition" where 22 slides of original art will be presented as a slideshow. After the show please proceed to the gift shop. There you may order prints as gifts to yourself or others. Finally, proceed to the "About the Gallery" page and learn why the French admirers of Baudrillard may never let me step foot on their countries soil. At the conclusion of your adventure in post parenthood art, drop me a note and let me know what you think is "real"?
This is our experiment in being wrong about reality ~ Are mothers really always right? Are their kids really born with genius? If this genius is real where does it go? Does it fall out of their head at puberty? I only ask this because my oldest is 15 and well....he does things a 15 year old would do if he had no brain.
